Cycling in and around Vlissingen

Vlissingen is a port town with a long promenade and good cycle links to the rest of Walcheren and, by foot ferry, to Zeeuws-Vlaanderen.

• Along the promenade: ride beside the Westerschelde, watching the big ships, to the Westduinpark.
• Cross to Breskens: the foot ferry takes cyclists to Breskens for a ride through Zeeuws-Vlaanderen.
• Inland to the neighbours: the junction network takes you to Middelburg, Veere or the coast at Dishoek.
• Rent and ride: the bike rental shops in town have bikes for the cycling routes and the nature reserves nearby.

Vlissingen has 3 bike rental shops, from the town centre to close to the Nollebos.

• Harm’s Fietsen: about 500 metres from Panorama Walcheren and less than a kilometre from the Nollebos.
• Sanderse Rental: close to Museum Scheldewerf, about 500 metres away.
• Rijwielshop Vlissingen: about a kilometre from the Museum Ship Mercuur and the Orange mill.
