Vlissingen
One of the most vibrant cities of Zealand is without a doubt Vlissingen. You can make a wonderful walk over the 2 kilometre long boulevard in every season. Here and there you will even see some sailor history between the new buildings.
What does the beach have to offer?
The beaches of Vlissingen are provided with all the conveniences. Restaurants and bars, showers and toilets are all present. From the boulevard, it is easy to access the beach with a stroller or a wheelchair. Water sporters will also definitely feel at home here. You are aloud to use a jet ski on the water. Let yourself be persuaded to take a boat trip by the boulevard!
A look around town
Vlissingen breathes a maritime atmosphere. Standing on the boulevard you are so close to the harbour it looks like you can almost touch the sea-going vessels. In the centre you find the Vierwinden square, a square with a pleasant atmosphere where it is nice to spend some time on one of the many terraces. Here and there you will still see some old house fronts, but most was lost during the Second World War. The remains of the Gevangentoren and the Keizersbolwerk, with a bomb-free hall you can still walk through, are very special.
Want to go shopping? With its many shops and even a covered shopping centre you won´t easily get bored in Vlissingen.
